Tarore and her book

Tarore and her book.

There was a little girl called Tarore who brought peace by wearing a precious taonga . When she got her kete (flax basket ) from the Browns .  The kete held the Gospel of Luke .  Inside the kete it  had a message and it also had the words of peace  . In 1836 the mission school had to be moved to Tauranga . Ngakuku which is Tarore's father and a mission worker took a lot of children through the bush .  A raiding party from Te Arawa found them close to  near the Wairere Falls   .  When Tarore was sleeping some warriors from another part of the country thought the kete  looked special because they thought  that something precious was in it like treasure,  so they killed her and stole it.  Then when the warriors read the   message they felt sad for the little girl so they went back to  Tarore’s Father and asked for forgiveness .

Mary Mackillop Centre

We are at Mary Mackillop Centre where the
Josephite nuns live. I feel eager to know how the nuns do their daily routine, but feel too shy to ask a question. I am listening to one of the youngest sisters  answering questions from the senior classes. The youngest sister introduces us to other older nuns in the room. Each of them tells us a little about themselves. Then I am listening to one of the youngest sisters telling us about the Brown Joes and Black Joes. The nuns make me happy because this is the first time I have met and seen real nuns. The meeting is  soon over and it is lunchtime.

Poetry Collection

This poetry collection is one poem called Cats. I like the poem because the poet tried to make the cats' real.

Prayer for nature

Lord thank you for creating beautiful pretty flowers. You showed me the gift of peace and hope. This flower is New Zealand’s best flower because it looks pretty, smells like nature and feels softer than anyone or anything else. You showed your love of nature by caring for plants

Thank you Lord for everything you created !!!

Good News!

Have you ever wondered what the good news is ? It all began when Jesus got crucified .  After that the women went to the tomb . But when they looked in, they saw an angel was there, and guess what, Jesus was gone . Jesus is risen said the angel . Then the women told everyone that Jesus was risen . When they told all the people everyone so happy that Jesus was alive.
